About this Event:

Let the kids cook! This kids only (8 to 15 years old) class will showcase a few of our kids’ favorite wild game recipes. Participants will be preparing the dishes from start to finish, defrosting to cooking, whole meat to grinding, along with eating to clean-up and dishes!
Food safety and proper equipment use will be demonstrated and managed as the participants create wild turkey tenders, venison burgers and breakfast sausage and more!

About the Program

Overview:

Learn to scout, hunt, shoot, harvest, process and cook wild game. 
Each learn to hunt class builds confidence in novice hunters and allows them to advance their skillsets towards becoming an independent hunter. Starting with scouting and finding places to hunt, students begin to lay the foundation for how they could plan a hunting experience in the field. From there, our instructors provide instruction in necessary gear, licenses, and skills needed to harvest the species of choice. From there, students learn how to successfully and ethically harvest the species of their choice, process the meat to prepare it for cooking, and finally cook their harvested wild game.
