Learn about what is needed to survive in South Dakota. Many topics will be covered including fire preparation, shelter building, first aid, and most importantly, being prepared. This class is incredibly hands- on and is performed mostly outside. Dress accordingly.

About the Program
Overview:
Learn how to kayak/canoe, cook in the outdoors, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and survive in the wilderness.
These courses introduce folks to practical skills for enjoying South Dakota’s landscape. Classes include kayak and canoe classes on flat and moving bodies of water, skills for how to start a fire and cook on an open fire, and skills for wilderness survival. During the winter months, these courses also include snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
