About this Event:

Join us for an evening of learning how to cook with wild game, this time with Bighorn sheep! Heather, one our knowledgeable volunteer instructors will be teaching participants how to prepare their own Bighorn sheep meatballs. This is a hands-on cooking program and participants will be encouraged to actively participate in making the meal, while learning about wild game meat and various cooking techniques. Please note: These are smaller portions and are not meant to be a full meal. Please note: Class start times are posted in Central Daylight Time, but this class is set to start at 6:00 Mountain Daylight Time.

Please note: Programs not specified as adult programs are considered family programs. All youth must be accompanied by an adult that has also registered for the program.

About the Program

Overview:

Learn how to kayak/canoe, cook in the outdoors, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and survive in the wilderness.
These courses introduce folks to practical skills for enjoying South Dakota’s landscape.  Classes include kayak and canoe classes on flat and moving bodies of water, skills for how to start a fire and cook on an open fire, and skills for wilderness survival.  During the winter months, these courses also include snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
