Have you ever seen a pile of scat and what to know what wildlife species was there. The identification of scat helps biologist understand not only what species that animal is, but what that animal's diet is. Learn how to identify wildlife using scat.

About the Program

Overview:

Learn how to kayak/canoe, cook in the outdoors, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and survive in the wilderness.
These courses introduce folks to practical skills for enjoying South Dakota’s landscape.  Classes include kayak and canoe classes on flat and moving bodies of water, skills for how to start a fire and cook on an open fire, and skills for wilderness survival.  During the winter months, these courses also include snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
