About this Event:

Join us as we learn all about using a GPS. We will learn how to mark objects and then how to find them again at a later date. Basic Skills sportsman use while hunting and
fishing. We will go over the basics and then place a “hide and seek” activity using
GPS receivers.

About the Program

Overview:

Learn how to kayak/canoe, cook in the outdoors, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and survive in the wilderness.
These courses introduce folks to practical skills for enjoying South Dakota’s landscape.  Classes include kayak and canoe classes on flat and moving bodies of water, skills for how to start a fire and cook on an open fire, and skills for wilderness survival.  During the winter months, these courses also include snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
