About this Event:
Participants in the course will learn how to incorporate course objectives of Fish South Dakota and Aquatic WILD into their PE, science or other PK-12 classes. Fish SD is a curriculum program focused on basic fishing skills and an appreciation for the sport of angling. Designed for Grades 6-12, Fish SD provides schools with teacher training, equipment, materials, and activities. These activities are well suited for physical education programs and will also easily integrate with all disciplines, making it simple to expand the program into the classroom.
Project WILD’s Aquatic Wild objective is to provide wildlife-based conservation and environmental education that fosters responsible actions toward wildlife and related natural resources. All curriculum materials are backed by sound educational practices and theory and represent the work of many professionals within the fields of education and natural resource management from across the country.
